It’s wonderful to see manufacturers and other industries come together to keep recyclable packaging out of landfills and deliver it to recycling companies where it’s sorted and repurposed. Vinyl recycling is at the top of the list along with plastics.
One common waste that is partly responsible for ruining the environment is flexible packaging. Studies are underway to record how these items are currently sorted at recycling centers.
Items like food packages, pet food bags, pouches for soups and other foods, and sandwich bags are counted after sorting to determine how effective the process really is. Studies hope to help the process and send more products to the correct facilities for recycling.
Big Name Companies are Involved
One may be surprised to hear which companies are in on the efforts in an attempt to make a name for themselves among environmentally conscious companies. They include:
- Nestle USA
- Procter & Gamble
- Sealed Air
- SC Johnson
- Dow Chemical Co.
These companies and many other depend on flexible packaging to protect their products and the fact that it can be reused so easily is something that can’t be overlooked any longer. Hopefully this sorting study will
It is tough to decide whether it is a boon or bane that you can work whenever and wherever you want to provide you have a device and internet connection at your reach. The current scenario is such that many people are opting for working from home wherein they can make the best use of the technology and complete the work.
Earlier, a holiday meant holidays be it Saturday Sunday or a long leave there was no sign of work because there was no way in which one can. However contemporarily with the evolution of technology, one can easily work in holidays and balance the work.
FLEXIBILITY – This breakthrough of technology definitely makes our work, even more, flexible to handle. Post holidays you need not to worry about the pending piled of files because, thankfully some of the files can be sorted whenever you get time to do so even in holidays. Despite being on holiday or travelling an access to the internet is all that you need.
BALANCING OUT – Holidays are meant for families and friends, but the helping hand of technology is
Given the busy lives that we lead, our priorities are diverted, and we give importance to several other things apart from those that are a part of our daily chores. Doing the laundry is a task in itself where it requires our attention and time, but we take help from the washing machines that automatically cracks the deal. There are times when we approach the laundries that allow us to save time and thus to make sure that our clothes are in the best condition and not damaged. Just like you, several other people feel the same.
It is a business that thrives well in urban areas where most households have people who are professionally engaged and do not have the time to do their laundry. You may think of starting a business with laundry being the service that you provide to the ordinary people. People would come to you with their daily laundry or come over with their expensive clothing to get them cleaned without getting damaged. Before you start off with a business in the laundry, here are a few tips that
Trees are magnificent. They root themselves deep in the earth. They grow tall – twenty, thirty, forty, a hundred feet, or even more. And they come from a single seed.
An acorn caught my eye recently. This acorn was usually large and I started thinking.
As I picked it up the first thought that came into my head was that everything an oak tree needed to grow 60-feet tall was in my hand. My thoughts went to the business owners that I work with and how they constantly struggle thinking that they need more to be successful when, like the acorn, they already have what they need.
But is it true? Does the acorn really have everything it needs?
No, it doesn’t and neither do you.
An acorn needs water. It needs soil and nutrients. It needs space to spread its branches and room to grow its roots.
An acorn is resilient yet balance is necessary.
Too much water can drown it. Too much sun or fertilizer will burn it. Lack of soil or space and it will never take root or grow. Too many branches will sap its energy.
The direction of your house can bring you curses or blessings. To help you out here are rules and regulations that you must follow when designing an east facing house.
You should place the door in the 5th pada as this is the location of Sun (the God of fame). If the 5th pada is too small you should place the entrance in the 1st or 4th pada.
Place the kitchen in the SE or NW direction. When cooking, you should face East if your kitchen faces SE and west if your kitchen faces NW.
If you are yet to buy a plot to construct the house on you should buy one that slopes south to north. When designing the living room, you should ensure that it faces NW. The master bedroom should face SW and the guest bedroom face NW.
To avoid bad luck you need to avoid the things that might bring it. For example, you shouldn’t place the toilets in the NE corner. You should also avoid placing the bedrooms in that direction. Other things that you should avoid placing in the NE direction
Many organizations set goals that are not realistic and are in the habit of not meeting their objectives. Others achieve some of their goals by accident, and some could achieve a lot more. The first questions is, “Are your goals mandatory, or are they something you set out to try?” If they are mandatory, then I suggest you make sure that you are planning for success instead of failure. Many organizations set their goals without considering the obvious reasons they may not be achievable. By addressing these reasons up front, an organization can dramatically increase the likelihood of success or know that they must adjust them to something more realistic.
Here is a common list of possible circumstances that cause organizations not to achieve their goals:
Has consideration been given to the capacity of the target market (growing-shrinking) and what a realistic share of the market can be?
If revenue levels were achieved, considering seasonality effects, what is the ability of the organization to deliver the products and services at the optimum level while keeping its brand promises?
Can the company finance growth; should it grow faster than
I receive emails from my readers all the time asking me how to handle various objections and resistance statements. A common request I get is how to handle the initial resistance statement “We are all set.” A variation of this is anything along the lines of:
“We are O.K. with our present system”
“We’ve already got a company that handles that”
“We’re fine for right now”
As you can see, these are all basically the same, and, more importantly, they aren’t objections – rather they are initial resistance statements or blow offs. Essentially they are saying something along the lines of: “I’m not interested in being pitched right now, please go away.”
Now here’s the thing: Because this is simply resistance and not an objection (it’s not an objection because you haven’t pitched your product or service yet. It’s like when you walk into a department store and the sales rep asks if they can help you and you blow them off with, “I’m just looking.”) Again, “We’re all set” is not an objection, just sales resistance.
And the key to handling resistance is NOT to try to overcome
What steps should you take when deciding on your business venture? If you have the financial means and does not are what happens to your money, you can do a trial and error. If the business did not work, you close it and open another one until you hit your goldmine. But this is not reality. How many of us were born with the silver spoon in our mouth? For the very good 99 percent of the population, we have limited financial resources. If you are in the 1 percent of the population, chances are you will be working in your family’s business either by choice or by force. Likewise, in any business venture, time is of the essence. Time is one of the most important resources of a business. A great business idea must be done immediately; otherwise, someone else might do it and you lose the chances of earning huge amount of money from the idea. Besides, our world is changing very fast. A great idea today may easily be overshadowed by an innovation. Thus, while the idea is needed by
India is one of the fastest growing nations in the Asia Pacific regions during the past five years. With a transformation in the economic system which has been expedited by an increase in commerce, the nation plans to achieve more than 9% GDP growth rate in the coming years. Variables such as service industry, e-commerce, production sector along with FDI and personal disposable income have impacted the express logistics market in India.
Clearly, infrastructure is the backbone of a nation’s growth and prosperity and for the logistics industry to sustain and create waves in the developed nations, special importance has to be laid on the improvement of the infrastructural readiness. Specific direction needs to be given on construction of long and robust road networks, interconnected rail network, latest cargo readiness at airports and creation and development of logistics parks which need to be identified as Special Economic Zones.
Creating Cognizance & Establishment of Educational Institutions for Logistics
To win over the existing skill issues in the Indian express logistics industry needs establishment of training institutions. It is of great importance to understand the profits that

CSR is a policy which relates to how the company reacts to factors such as environment, stakeholders, employees and more. This article concentrates on the importance of effective CSR programs.
Communicating The Policy to Internal Stakeholders
In-house communications are imperative to the success of this type of program. Many major retailers and manufacturers have created programs that necessitate suppliers to adhere to a corporate code of conduct, a recurring schedule of examining visits, and a progression of communicating remediation in order to authenticate and improve supplier conformity. Many companies have determined that supplier monitoring alone is not the best method, but that a plan that incorporates supplier engagement and instruction will improve retention and observance of corporate requirements.
The heart of CSR
CSR is about communication. If you’re legitimately considering economic changes, how your company affects ecosystems and societal impacts, then you must listen to, take into account and react to the broadest group of stakeholders possible. This system will help mitigate risk and develop opportunity through greater understanding. Social media provides an ideal and fervent community to engage with.
There are many other topics related to this
Choosing the right service provider to commission or install ventilation systems – whether natural, mechanical or smoke – is essential in order to obtain a system that works optimally. There are several experts to choose from in any given area, and your choice will largely depend on your needs and the specialism of the company.
There are many companies that specialise in a particular type of ventilation system, such as smoke ventilation, but there are also those which are generalists, with a team of experts that are proficient in commissioning and installing all different types. Whichever you are thinking of hiring, ask the following four questions in order to determine whether they are right for your project.
Firstly, check with the company how many years of experience that they have installing or commissioning the particular type of system that you want installed. Experience is an important part of being able to design and fit a system that is perfectly tailored to your building’s needs, so verify that the experts you are thinking of hiring can deliver in this area.
Rather than just experience in a specific
In a number of different types of premises, the owner or the management company is responsible for the statutory inspection and maintenance of smoke and mechanical ventilation systems. This is to ensure that the system is working as well as it possibly can in order to provide a safe environment for occupants.
With maintenance and inspection such a large part of the responsibility that building owners have to bear, it is often a good idea to invest in a ventilation system maintenance service, as this will keep the premises in line with statutory requirements as well as identify and repair major problems in the system as early as possible; here are five services that are definitely worth investing in.
Firstly, look for a ventilation maintenance company that will help the building owner or manager establish service logs and test schedules in order to make sure that all statutory requirements are met in a timely fashion.
Making sure that this test schedule is adhered to and that the log book is kept up to date will ensure that smoke and mechanical ventilation systems are compliant and that
Every year I’ve done somewhat of a review of my business for the last year. Usually, it’s revolved around revenue, including my most profitable service or program revenue streams and my highest grossing clients. I also plan what programs I’m going to offer in the next 6-12 months, and plan my marketing and launches around that.
Smart business indeed.
Well, as the maximizer that I am, this year I put all of that together and added a few pieces.
Here’s what I have to say about doing the business review. Sometimes, you can be afraid to look at certain things in your business, either because you perceive failure or because you would rather hide your head in the sand.
I’m here to tell you that the numbers have a story to tell, and that story isn’t always a scary one, no matter what fear you might have about knowing the truth.
For example, last year, my revenue pretty much mirrored that of the previous year. At first glance, that does not look good. One of the pieces I added to my yearly review was to look at my
If you’re moving abroad or are running an export business, you need to hire services for ocean freight shipping. By ocean freight shipping, it means that cargo is being sent commercially to a destination by sea. There are 3 types of cargo sent via ocean freight, namely:
- Freight shipment
- Household goods
- Express parcels
Heavy and large cargo shipments are categorized as freight shipment and they cannot be sent as parcel. Export business owners typically inquire from different shipping companies before sending their cargo. The gist here is for them to avail of the best international shipping rates. If you’re sending cargo overseas or abroad, you’ll find that rates and fees are quite expensive. Again, you have to be particular about the ocean freight shipping company you’re dealing with. Get the best price for the services you need while saving money and at the same time shipping your goods safely and quickly. You can save a lot on your budget if you hire a reasonably priced ocean freight shipping provider. Big businesses are wary about hiring an international shipping company. To avail of the best deal, they tend
Microstrategy is business intelligence software that you use in organizing information and generating reports. The software is of great importance in organizations that require reporting and analyzing of a lot of data.
For you to be able to work with the software you need to undertake Microstrategy training.
Why you should undertake the Microstrategy training
There are many benefits of undertaking the training. Some of these benefits include:

What the training entails

Did your heart skip a beat when you read the title? Be honest. I admit that mine does, a lot, when I think of how to raise money for an idea that I am passionate about. How do I raise this amount of money that is at that time beyond me? It is actually a scary prospect. This is one of the principal reasons many people don’t go into business, because they are unable to raise the needed capital to execute their ideas.
But all hope is not lost. Let me share a few of my experiences on how to raise money for your business:
Strip it to the basics
Determine the least amount of money you would require to start the business. This means that you should cut out all non-essential needs from your budget. Do you need an official car to start with? Cut it out. Can you share an office with another firm rather than renting your own? Cut out the rent costs.
Invest in yourself
Start with your own personal investment. If you cannot put in your own funds, why should someone else do so?
You hear how you should do this and you should do that. Heck, as a business coach, even I tell you what to do! (And one note about that… I always follow any suggestion or recommendation with “You have to do what works for you.”)
Models, formulas, strategies, tools, worksheets, and the like are fabulous for helping you navigate the waters of business, but they’re not meant to be so sacred that you can’t deviate from them and follow your heart’s wisdom.
If you’re making decisions in your business that are based from your heart and passion for what you want in your business, then you are on your way to creating a business you love.
But if you’re making decisions – or not taking action – out of fear or lack, then your business will probably not end up being one you love.
How do you know if you’re making a decision from the heart or from fear? When you delve into “Why do I want or not want to do this?” – pay attention to the answer. Get a piece of paper, and write the possible
